Alliance and Merger Impact

Many things change when airlines merge or join/leave alliances

  • Old marketing (codeshare) agreements are ended, and new ones start. These must be simulated with care, to ensure the most likely agreements are simulated (not all, everywhere)
  • Flight schedules are changed. Airlines adjust schedules to properly connect with each other.
  • Pricing and Revenue Management needs to be more carefully planned and co-ordinated to take the benefit of more traffic and better connectivity.
